SYSTEMS’ APPROACH TO MUNDANE VEDIC ASTROLOGY WEB FORUM

SAMVA-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

The Systems Approach to Mundane Vedic Astrology (SAMVA) is for the study of national birth charts and public personalities or events using the Systems Approach to Vedic Astrology (SA).  This list seeks to expand this approach to mundane charts and gain predictive accuracy, much like forward-looking social scientists (economists, sociologists, historians, etc).

Vedic astrology, Jyotish, on which SA is based, dates back many thousands of years and is integrated with Vedic cosmology, including the law of karma. In fact, in individual astrology the focus is on individual karma, whereas in mundane astrology, the focus is on the expression of collective karma (which is always consistent with the individual karma of those involved). To further this study, charts of various nations are posted and discussed, with predictions made, by which to gauge their accuracy. This astounding statement is made in view of the many correct predictions made against natal charts and increasingly national birth charts.

Such issues as the selection of birth times for collective entities, in order to cast their horoscopes, as well as the fundamentals of reading mundane charts are dealt with on the list. As such, this list is primarily for students of SA who have an active interest in world affairs. The list discussion focuses on how astrology, based on an analysis of national (collective) birth charts, can increase our understanding of national events and help make useful predictions about the future course.  A basic knowledge of SA is helpful/necessary for effective participation.
